YouthWorks is a state-funded program that provides teens and young adults with paid short-term job placements during the summer and school year. Participants gain work experience, develop soft skills, and receive career guidance using the Signal Success curriculum. Designed by education and workforce experts, Signal Success helps young people build essential workplace and life skills.
Tier 1
14-15 Year old
Participants engage in project-based learning and professional development, building soft skills like communication and goal setting while working on a community project. This prepares them for deeper career experiences.
Tier 2
16-17 Year old
Participants gain early career experience through 60-150 hours at a worksite aligned with their interests. They develop workplace skills, teamwork, and industry-relevant abilities while exploring career paths.
Tier 3
18-24 Year old
Participants receive mentorship and hands-on training in their chosen field, working up to 150 hours at a worksite. They build leadership skills, industry-specific knowledge, and workplace confidence, preparing for long-term career success.
